Founder and Managing Partner
Tobin & Company Investment Banking Group LLC

Justine Tobin offers clients over three decades of experience in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance and has led Tobin & Company since its founding. With extensive financial, analytical and deal making experience within bulge-bracket Firms on Wall Street and one of the country’s largest banks, Justine provides advice, guidance and success to clients in planning and executing their financial strategies.

She is the founder and sole proprietor of Tobin & Company Investment Banking Group. She is also the founder and sole owner, through the parent company, of Tobin & Company Securities LLC, a broker dealer licensed by FINRA.

Prior to founding Tobin & Company in February of 2001, Justine served clients at the premier investment banking firms of Goldman, Sachs & Company, Salomon Brothers Inc and Bank of America. Justine also led teams as a Managing Director at a boutique investment banking firm.

Justine has advised many Fortune 1000 companies on every aspect of their corporate financing and strategic activity. Highlights of Justine’s career include co-founding the High Yield Finance Group at Bank of America and serving as an instrumental member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Department of Salomon Brothers Inc. During her time at Salomon, Justine guided clients through a complex acquisition strategy of the nationalized telephone system of Venezuela, executed several initial public offerings and secondary equity offerings and completed financings in the high grade, high yield, bank-financing and convertible-debt markets. At Goldman, Sachs & Company, Justine was a member of the Credit Department, which has evolved into the most respected risk management group on Wall Street.

Justine earned her MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School in New York City. She also earned her BBA with a double major in Finance and International Business, along with a minor in French, from the University of Texas at Austin. She holds the Series 28, 24, 7, 79, 63, 99 and 14 securities license designations from FINRA. Justine serves as the Executive Representative, the Chief Financial Officer and the Chief Compliance Officer of Tobin & Company Securities LLC.

Justine serves on the advisory boards of mobilads and of First Citizens Bank’s Charlotte market. Justine has been an active and powerful volunteer and advocate, serving as co-founder, committee chair and board member of numerous non-profit organizations. Justine is an avid participant in the sharing economy and her passions include mentoring dozens of young professionals, genealogy and cycling. She is married to Charlotte architect, David Tobin; they are both the parents of three adult children who have careers in technology, financial services and the sciences.

Judi House

Judi serves as the Operations Manager for the firm. She is a native of Lakewood, California and a graduate of California State University at Long Beach with a B.S. in Finance. She also holds an M.B.A in Finance from Strayer University. Judi holds the General Securities Representative (S7) license and the State Law (S63) license with FINRA and has thirty years of experience working in financial services. Prior to joining Tobin & Company, Judi worked at LPL Financial in Asset Management Operations as well as UVEST Financial Services. For fun, Judi enjoys gardening and being at the beach.

Jayne Farrington

Jayne serves as a financial officer for the Firm. She graduated from Thomas College in Waterville, Maine and Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to joining Tobin & Company, Jayne worked at Coca-Cola, Delta Air Lines and Bank of America. She has a vast knowledge of financial analysis and excels in management settings.

Jon Tobin

Jon serves as an Associate at the Firm. He is a graduate from North Carolina State University where he earned a BS in Accounting. Prior to joining Tobin & Company, Jon worked in the financial services industry, most recently for Dimensional Fund Advisors. In this role, Jon managed client relationships and provided consultation and support on a range of investment products and services. Before Dimensional Fund Advisors, Jon was a Financial Planning Consultant at Raymond James where he facilitated portfolio development through due diligence of hundreds of companies, funds and other equity and fixed income products. Jon holds both his Series 7, 79, 24 and 66 licenses with FINRA. In his spare time, Jon enjoys snow skiing, hiking and traveling.

Ryan Weinerman

Ryan serves as an Investment Banking Analyst Intern for Tobin & Company. He is currently a senior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, double-majoring in Finance and Criminal Justice, and he intends to graduate in June of 2023. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and cooking.

Sarav Sundaram

Sarav serves as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst Intern for Tobin & Company. He is a graduate at Indiana University where he earned his BS in finance and accounting. He is currently a Master of Finance Student at Indiana University, and he intends to graduate in the Fall of 2023. In his spare time, he enjoys playing and watching sports, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
