Justine Tobin offers clients over three decades of experience in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance and has led Tobin & Company since its founding. With extensive financial, analytical and deal making experience within bulge-bracket Firms on Wall Street and one of the country’s largest banks, Justine provides advice, guidance and success to clients in planning and executing their financial strategies.
She is the founder and sole proprietor of Tobin & Company Investment Banking Group. She is also the founder and sole owner, through the parent company, of Tobin & Company Securities LLC, a broker dealer licensed by FINRA.
Justine has advised many Fortune 1000 companies on every aspect of their corporate financing and strategic activity. Highlights of Justine’s career include co-founding the High Yield Finance Group at Bank of America and serving as an instrumental member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Department of Salomon Brothers Inc. During her time at Salomon, Justine guided clients through a complex acquisition strategy of the nationalized telephone system of Venezuela, executed several initial public offerings and secondary equity offerings and completed financings in the high grade, high yield, bank-financing and convertible-debt markets. At Goldman, Sachs & Company, Justine was a member of the Credit Department, which has evolved into the most respected risk management group on Wall Street.
Justine is an active volunteer and advocate. She was a founding board member of the Charlotte Regional Technology Executives Council, contributing her extensive deal-making experience and network in the information technology industry. Justine is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, Charlotte Chapter and has served as a judge for the ACG Cup both at the preliminary level as well as the regional finals. Justine served as the chair of the Development Committee and a member of the Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees for Oak Ridge Military Academy in Oak Ridge, North Carolina and served as a founding board member and the treasurer of the recently formed Columbia Alumni Association of the Carolinas. Justine is a dedicated campaign donor, particularly at the local and state level. She is an avid participant in the sharing economy, through her contributions to FreeCycle and TrustHouseSitters and her eagerness to spend her hard earned dollars with Lyft, VRBO and Lime. Justine’s passions include mentoring dozens of young professionals, genealogy and early morning workouts.
Judi serves as Justine’s administrative assistant. She is a native of Lakewood, California and a graduate of California State University at Long Beach. She earned a B.S. in Finance in May of 1994 and earned an M.B.A in Finance from Strayer University in September of 2018. Judi has twenty years of experience working in financial services. Prior to joining Tobin & Company, Judi worked at LPL Financial in Asset Management Operations as well as UVEST Financial Services.
Pablo is a native of Miami Beach, Fl and a December 2018 graduate of Duke University with a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.S. in Economics. While at Duke, Pablo played club lacrosse and was involved in the department of Biomedical Engineering.
Prior to joining Tobin & Company, Pablo interned as a DNA research analyst at Biocollections Worldwide. In his spare time, Pablo enjoys traveling, snowboarding and running.
Liam serves as an analyst for the firm. He is a native of Bluffton, South Carolina and a 2019 graduate at the University of South Carolina earning a B.S. in Finance. While at South Carolina, Liam was involved in intramural sports including football and basketball.
Prior to joining Tobin and Company, Liam worked summers as a server at local restaurants in a busy, tourist economy. In his spare time, Liam enjoys spending time at the local animal shelter, golfing and boating.
Tyler serves as an analyst for the firm. He is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and a May 2020 graduate of Clemson University earning a B.S. in Financial Management. During Tyler’s time at Clemson, he was involved in a variety of investment clubs within the College of Business and often volunteered at the Habitat for Humanity construction site.
Prior to joining Tobin & Company, Tyler gained prior summer internship experience with a hedge fund and investment management company. In his spare time, Tyler enjoys distance running, hiking and visiting family in Chicago.
Andrea serves as an analyst for the firm. She is a native of Lima, Peru and a May 2020 graduate of Mount Holyoke College with a B.A. in Economics and French minor. At Mount Holyoke, Andrea was active in student organizations including Women in Business and Mount Holyoke News.
Prior to joining Tobin & Company, Andrea worked for the Economics Department of the Peruvian Embassy. In her spare time, Andrea loves hiking with her two dogs, painting, and playing tennis.
Joseph serves out of Winston-Salem, NC. He is a North Carolina native and a May 2019 graduate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a double major in Finance and Economics. While at UNCG, Joseph participated in student organizations such as NABE and served as President for the Spartan Investment Club.
Prior to joining Tobin & Company, Joseph worked for a private wealth manager and passed the CFA Level I exam. He is a CFA Level II Candidate, and in his spare time, Joseph enjoys volunteering and spending time with his family on the lake.
